Mrs. Katherine I. (Harbaugh) Mowen, 93, a resident of Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday morning, March 12, 2025, in the nursing home.
Born May 31, 1931 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lelah (Wise) Harbaugh.
She and her husband, the late Glenn H. Mowen, were married in November 1951. He passed away December 12, 1982.
Mrs. Mowen was employed as a machine operator at Stanley Company, Chambersburg, for 46 years.
She was a member of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post #1599 Ladies Auxiliary and Bert J. Asper American Legion Post 46 Ladies Auxiliary, both of Chambersburg.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Mowen of Taneytown, MD; two grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Alice Weddle, Phyllis Lightner, Florence Miller and Darlene Bricker; and one brother, Earl Harbaugh.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 17, 2025 in Green Hill Cemetery, 953 S. Potomac St., Waynesboro.
There will be no public viewing.
