Junior C. Robinson, age 93, of Greencastle, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born September 20, 1930, he was the son of the late Jacob E. and Mabel Bivens Robinson.
Mr. Robinson attended the former Lemasters School. He went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Robinson worked as a Pipe Nipple Manufacturer for 45 years at Beck Manufacturing, where he retired. He was a member of Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, where he served as an Usher for over 40 years. Mr. Robinson served in the Franklin County Civil Defense and formerly as a Special Deputy Sheriff for Sheriff Frank Bender. Junior enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles, hunting, and his cherished dog, Leah.
Surviving is his wife of 72 years, Doris H. McClure Robinson, whom he married on June 22, 1951, four daughters, Carol Robinson of Greencastle, PA, Brenda Robinson of Greencastle, PA, Bonny Brubaker (husband Jay) of Chambersburg, PA, and Sherry Cheatham (husband Harlan) of Chambersburg, PA; two grandchildren, Shawn Brubaker of Chambersburg, PA and Lynn Brubaker (wife Kelly) of Carlisle, PA; and six siblings, Phyllis Miller, Nancy Thomas, Linda Stover, Beverly Peiffer, Delon Robinson, and Ronnie Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Marvin Robinson and Geraldine Myers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 Kauffman Rd. E., Chambersburg, PA 17202, where Pastor Casey Hurst will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the above church and address.
