June Virginia Hornbaker, 90, of 11 West Baltimore Street, Hagerstown, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Mertius Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born June 1, 1921, in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Berna Shockey Mason.
She was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church; and the Womens Auxiliary for the Military Order of the Cooties, #21 and the Womens Auxiliary WD Byron Post #1936, VFW.
Surviving are her children Shirley J. Lloyd of Smithsburg, and Wade M. Hornbaker of Hagerstown; grandchildren Kathy M. Coyle and Charles E. Lloyd, Jr., both of Smithsburg; as well as great grandchildren, Austin L. Pogue, Christopher A. Sarver, Dakota S. Coyle and John F. Coyle, IV,
and Kyle A. Disandro.
Mrs. Hornbaker was preceded in death by her husband Howard Woodrow Hornbaker, who preceded her in death on September 22, 1990; and her sister, Margaret Dunn.
Friends may call at the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Tuesday, July 19, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
The funeral service will be from the funeral home on Wednesday, July 20, at 1:30 PM.
Her pastor, Rev. C. Michael Henning, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
