Judith Marie (Hobbs) Rock, 80, of Chambersburg, passed peacefully, Sunday October 13th, 2024. She was born Monday November 29th, 1943 to the late Frank and Helen Hobbs, also of Chambersburg. She is predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Marlin G. Rock.
Judith is survived by her daughters Beth Rock and Amy Hardsock with husband Michael both of Chambersburg; three grandchildren Katie Rock, Kylie Hardsock, and Tyler Hardsock all of Chambersburg; brothers Frank Hobbs and John Hobbs; sisters Linda Null, Patsy Rock, and Sue Reasner; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Judith is predeceased by her parents, husband, son Scotty Rock, a brother Larry Hobbs, one niece, and two nephews.
Judith enjoyed working with young children as a teacher’s aide for 50 years in Chambersburg. She was always enlightened to run into her students in later years as adults. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18th, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, with Pastor Jeremy Lehman officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Quincy, Pennsylvania. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to the funeral from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Friday.
