Mrs. Joyce Mae Smith Krieman, 68, of Hagerstown, died early Sunday morning, February 24, 2019, at Doey’s House of Hospice of Washington County. She was the wife of the late Harry Lee Krieman, who preceded her in death on September 7, 2009.
Born November 1, 1950, in Oneida Hospital, Oneida, New York, she was a daughter of the late Morris Erwin and Frances Corrine Redmond Smith.
A loving mother and homemaker, Joyce’s grandchildren and family was the essence of her existence. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, bowling, of which she participated in leagues in South Florida and New York; and was a member of the Bowling Association of America; and crocheting.
Surviving are her children Brian K. Krieman and wife Brandy of Hagerstown, and Debbie L. Krieman Haigler of Maryville, Tennessee; and step-son Christopher L. Krieman; eight grandchildren, Alexis, Crystal, Ariel, Steven, David, Casey, Kaitlyn, and Kash; two great grandchildren, Jayden and Natalie; as well as nine siblings, Janice Gregory, Jimmy Smith, Janet “Lois” Kemp and husband Donald, Grant Smith and wife Debbie, Morris Smith and wife Becky, Patty Scheckler and husband Dave, Cheryl “Sherri” Smith and companion Brian Marsh, and Connie Smith Wratten and husband Paul, all of New York, and Randy Smith and wife Iris, of New Jersey; step-siblings, Laurie Jones and Robert Thurlow, both of New York also; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Services will private and at the convenience of the family.
