Joyce Diane Barnes, age 70, of Greencastle, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at her home. Born in Chambersburg, PA, on June 18, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Virginia Hammond Yocum.
Joyce was a 1972 graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School. She worked at the former Corning Glass for a number years, before retiring.
Surviving is her husband of 42 years, James "Jim" Barnes; a son, Dirk Brumbaugh; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two siblings, Mark Yocum of Spring Run, PA and Mary Lou Prisk of Lewistown, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10 AM in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA, where Rev. Alan Wilson will officiate.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M.
