John Williams,78, passed away on July 4, 2024, at Providence Place in Chambersburg, PA. He was born October 20, 1945, in Bridgeport, WV. John was the eldest son of Harold and Verna Williams. John is survived by his wife Frances Wills Williams and Daughters Sherri Wright (Craig), Marsha Flowers (John), and Traci Giganti (Jon), from a previous marriage to Mary Lou Kettery, and stepchildren BJ Duncan (Carol) and Terry Bradley (Brad). Brothers William Williams (Amanda), Joe Williams, James Williams (Carol) and Philip Williams (Shannon). Sisters Patricia Catlett (George), Dorothy Bassel (John), Shirley Poindexter and Mary Wright. Grandchildren, Laken Taylor, Thomas Cline, Jeffrey Taylor, Alyssa Giganti, Jared Giganti, Jason Bremner, Julie Bird, JD Shook and Alex Munro Great-grandchildren, Dallas, Thomas, Alex, Ava, Allister, Annabella, Layla, Jack, Jesse and Ruby He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Verna Williams, brother, Harold Williams and sisters Carol Cathell and Darlene Ramsey, and stepdaughter Dianna Bremner. John recently retired from LIUNA where he worked as a building security officer for 17 years. John was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps, H&S Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Division where he received the Good Conduct and National Defense Service Medals. John loved golfing and was a devoted Baltimore Orioles fan and other outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and trap shooting. John also loved playing the Maryland Lottery and Keno!
