Mrs. Jerodene Elizabeth Mulligan, 90, of Rockville, Md., and formerly a longtime resident of Hagerstown, Md., died Thursday, March 10, 2016, in Rockville.

Born Jan. 13, 1926, in Emporia, Va., she was a daughter of the late Ollie Fielding and Eva Virginia Pittard Tuck.

Mrs. Mulligan was employed with the U.S. Department of Defense for 25 years.

She enjoyed traveling the world and volunteering in her community; and was a committed Christian and an excellent mother.

She is survived her children, D. Bryan Mulligan and wife, Terri, and Ruth E. Mulligan-Ward, all of Maugansville, Md. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Katie Schmidt, Susie Morgan, Rebecca and Patrick Ward, Robert and Mary Teal Mulligan, and Elizabeth Ward; her great-granddaughter, Olive Schmidt; and siblings, Evelyn Atkins, and Thomas and Edward Tuck; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Jerodene was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at 11 a.m., at Rest Haven Cemetery 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. The Rev. Dr. Jerry T. Cooper will officiate.
