Mrs. Jean E. (Printz) Verdier, 75, of South Mountain, PA, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 in her home.

Born May 12, 1948 in Chambersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Betty (Rook) Printz.

Mrs. Verdier attended Quincy High School.

A loving wife and homemaker, she devoted her life to raising her family. She worked at several local businesses including Five Forks Fruit and at several hotels in the Gettysburg Area.

In her early life, Mrs. Verdier attended the former Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mont Alto, PA and she was a life member of Mont Alto Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary.

She leaves behind three children, Thomas A. Verdier and his wife, Tammy of South Mountain, Lisa D. Verdier of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Wilda J. Osequeda and her husband, Jack of Selma, NC; eight grandchildren, Justin Verdier, Tiffany Pritt (Josh), Autumn Sawvel (Joseph), Hannah Jade Osborn (Cody), Dakota Beavers, Brittain Verdier, Curtis Verdier (Connie Carrada) and Jesse Osequeda; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Kauffman and Paula Allen; two brothers, Thomas “Jack” Printz and David I. Printz; and a number of nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Mr. Corvin A. Verdier who passed away May 15, 2018; and her twin sister, Joan Smelser.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being handled by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
