Mr. Jason J. Russell, 51, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, in his home following a brief critical illness.
Born April 2, 1974, in Ft. Gordon, GA, he was the son of Gary and the late Adel (Van Steensel) Russell.
Mr. Russell received his GED from Chambersburg, PA.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He and his wife, Mrs. Shannon (Patterson) Russell were married August 29, 1997, in Hagerstown, MD.
Mr. Russell enjoyed playing video games and was an avid computer guy. He was known to be a great mentor to all the younger men in his life, and enjoyed precious time spent with his grandchildren.
In addition to his father, and loving wife, he is survived by stepmother, Touria Elfilali of Morocco; one daughter, Janneke Russell; two grandchildren, and one on the way; one half-sister Andréa Russell; one brother-in-law, Timothy Patterson; and one sister-in-law, Wendy Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
