Jason Hunter Walker, 50, of Willow Hill, PA and formerly of New Franklin, PA passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, as a result of complications of pneumonia and lung cancer in the Chambersburg Hospital with his loved ones beside him.

Jason was a 1993 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He was a victim of nicotine since the age of 13 because the mother of a friend carelessly left her cigarettes accessible to her teenage son which he and Jason smoked together.

Jason was kind hearted and often went out of his way to help and respect others. He was an extremely loyal and respected friend and will be missed by so many. He lived a unique life with his own personal values, desires, and goals as the basis of his decisions.

Jason would have loved to have children but since he was born with Tourette’s Syndrome he did not want to pass it on to his children and have them suffer the bullying from fellow students and coworkers that he dealt with throughout his lifetime.

When he was able, Jason was employed by GS Electric, Palmer Construction, Fulton Precision Industries Inc., and Manitowoc. He had a concern for our planet and participated in metal recycling to help save it. He loved nature and enjoyed hunting deer and wild turkey. Often he would sit in the woods and just enjoy the birds flitting overhead in the trees. Jason also enjoyed cooking as he learned from his Grandma Walker and often shared food with friends. His home was lively with his cats that entertained him as he took photos of them to share.

He is survived by the love of his life, Grace Brown and her children and grandchildren; father, John H. Walker and step-mother, Mary Margaret Walker; mother, Rhetta Martin and step-father, Eric Martin; two sisters, Barbara and Jennifer; and a number of aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stuart A. and K. Louise Walker and maternal grandparents, Floyd T. and Ruth F. Helman.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A tree will be planted in his memory by Conococheague Audubon at a location to be determined.
