Mrs. Janet Lois Reynard, 75, of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown. She was the wife of the late Earl Gilbert Reynard, who preceded her in death on October 9, 2008.
Born October 13, 1939, in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late Sherman Lewis Taylor and Lillie May Lewis Taylor. She was a graduate of Clear Spring High School.
Janet worked for K-Mart, Hagerstown, for over 30 years.
She attended Paramount Baptist Church.
Surviving is her son, Steven E. Reynard and wife Cindy L. of Clear Spring; three granddaughters, Jennifer L. Ward and husband Jeff, Stephanie A. Reese and husband Kyle, and Holly L. Reynard; four great grandchildren, Christopher R. and Colton J. Ward, and Connor D. and Emilee H. Reese; her siblings, Kenneth and Donald Taylor, Margaret McDonald and Nancy Bragg; and her beloved dog “Cookie”.
Besides her husband and parents, Janet was preceded in death by five siblings, Anna Mary Ruth, Elaine Startzman, Maxine Guessford, and Sherman, Jr., and John Taylor.
The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Thursday, November 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Friday, November 14, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Jeffrey E. Ward, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
