Mr. Herman K. Voss, Jr., 73, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024 in his home.

Born April 11, 1951 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Herman K. Voss, Sr. and Fleda (Baker) Bakner.

Mr. Voss was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School and later served in the United States Army.

He and his wife of 27 years, Constance I. (Barnes) Voss, were married on April 25, 1997.

Mr. Voss was a self-employed in construction, building homes from the ground up and also remodeling homes.

He was a life member of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post # 1599 and member of Bert J. Asper American Legion Post #46, both of Chambersburg.

Mr. Voss enjoyed hunting and woodworking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Todd Voss of Fairfield, PA, Herman K. Voss, III and Steve Voss, both of Hanover, PA; two-step-sons, Douglas Baker and Daryl Baker; one step-daughter, Sherry Voss-Bonner; two granddaughters, Justice and Amanda; one sister, Judy Brown of South Mountain; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Mr. Henry Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Quincy, PA where military graveside honors will be conducted by the Honor Guard of Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post #1599, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Tuesday morning, in the funeral home.
