Helen Frances Knode, 89, of 33 Mill Street, Hagerstown, died Friday, April 29, 2011, at Julia Manor Health Care Center.

She was born in Gainesboro, Virginia; and preceded in death by her natural and adopted parents.


She was preceded in death by her husband Emmanuel L. Knode on June 10, 1975.

Mrs. Knode retired from Interwoven Stocking Company; and was formerly employed by Fairchild Industries.

She was a member of United Brethren Church, Cedar Grove, Virginia.

Surviving is a half-sister Frances Ross of San Antonio, Texas; and nieces Elva A. and Mary E. Dreos, both of Phoenix, Arizona

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Virginia Dreos.

A Graveside service will be Monday, May 9, at 2:30 PM, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.

There will not be visiting at the funeral home.
