Heather Lee Dodds, 60, passed away at her home in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, on November 28, 2025.
Heather was born in New London, Connecticut, on October 12, 1965, to Jacqueline (Jackie) and Harley Dodds, both of whom predeceased her. She was raised in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Waynesburg Central High School in 1984. She received her certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Greene County Career and Technology Center in 1992 and worked as an LPN for nearly 30 years. It was a career that she truly loved; throughout her years working at Pleasant Lake Villa in Parma, Ohio, Pine Point Nursing Center in Scarborough, Maine, and Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesburg, she made many lifelong friends.
Heather is remembered by her friends and family as being smart, kind, fun, and dedicated to her job. She loved listening to music (rock from the 1980s), reading (anything by Stephen King), playing cards (especially pinochle), and spending time with her family and her cats.
She is survived by one daughter – Ashley Taylor of Cleveland, Ohio – and three sisters – Carol (Bill) Southwick of Biddeford, Maine, Holly Elden of Waynesboro, and Lori Grim of Wind Ridge, Pennsylvania – along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family
Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro is handling the arrangements.
