Harold Kenneth Coldsmith, aged 91, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Born on August 15, 1933, in the same town, he was a cherished member of the community and a devoted family man.

Harold proudly served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1955, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to his country. After his military service, he embarked on a long and fruitful career with the J. Schoeneman Company, where he dedicated over forty-five years before retiring.

A 1951 graduate of Chambersburg Area High School, Harold was deeply committed to lifelong learning, with a particular passion for reading and studying the Bible and history. His devotion extended to his spiritual life as well; he was a long-time member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Chambersburg.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Pentz Coldsmith; his son, Charles Kenneth Coldsmith (Leslie) of Chambersburg, PA; and his daughter, Cindy Hutchison and her husband Mark, of Palmyra, PA. He was a proud grandfather to Rick Coldsmith and his wife Toni, Brian Hutchison and his wife Chelsea, and Mary Ann Coldsmith (Jason); and a great-grandfather to Jerrid, CreeAnn, Rian, Charlie, and Graelyn. He also leaves behind his sister, Goldie Randolph, and brother, Gary Coldsmith, both of Chambersburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Oliver and Laura Grace Harmon Coldsmith, and siblings Julia Coldsmith, Juanita Coldsmith, Louetta Reasner, George E. Coldsmith, and Donald Coldsmith.

Harold’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, a testament to his loving and nurturing personality. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 29, 2024 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA with full military honors.
