Geraldine E. Faith, 90, a lifelong resident of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Born June 20, 1933 in Montgomery Township, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Minnie E. (Clever) Bennett.

She attended Mercersburg Area Schools and graduated from Chambersburg Hospital School of Nursing in 1954 as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Throughout her professional career she worked for the Chambersburg, Waynesboro and Washington County Hospitals as an Operating Room Surgical Scrub Nurse and a few early years as a Staff Nurse at Fulton County Medical Center. Additionally, Geraldine was a Charge Nurse at Colton Villa Nursing Center and Decker Nursing Center and found satisfaction in private duty nursing serving families providing in home care. Geraldine was a faithful and active member of Mercersburg First Church of God. She loved her church and caring for people throughout her lifetime.

She is survived by two children, Pamela Jo (Faith) Davis of Fayetteville, Georgia and Jared R. Faith and his wife Carolyn of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania ; four grandchildren, Colonel Jeri D. Torrero and her husband Jose of Dayton, Ohio, John W. Davis, Jr. and his wife Melanie of Fayetteville, Georgia, Jared R. Faith II and his wife Jennifer of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and Natalie Faith and Noah Harmon of Belleville, Pennsylvania; twelve great-grandchildren, Davis and Avery Torrero, Robert and Charlie Davis, Jackson, Evelyn, and Andrew Faith, Nolan, June, Bennett, Hugh, and Olivia Harmon; and two siblings, Irene Snider of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania and John R. Bennett and his wife Marybeth of Penn Furnace, Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Robert “Bob” Faith who passed away in 1970.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at the First Church of God, Mercersburg on Thursday 26th of October, 2023. A family visitation will begin at 10:30 followed by a service at 11:00 am with Myers Kimmel officiating. A private family interment at Fairview Cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Church of God Mercersburg, Building Fund or the MMP&W Fire Company. Arrangements are entrusted to SimpleChoice Cremation Services, Chambersburg.
