Mr. George O. Grooms, 85, of Pond Bank, PA, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born February 27, 1940 in Pond Bank, he was the son of the late Frank and Beulah (Luckett) Grooms.
He and his wife, the late Sarah Elizabeth (Ridenour) Grooms, were married on December 3, 1963 in Hagerstown, MD. Mrs. Grooms died on August 3, 2001.
In his early life, George worked for Bonded Applicators and B Equip. For many years, he was self employed as a lawn mower repairman.
He enjoyed hunting turkeys.
He is survived by two brothers, Roger Grooms and Lee Grooms; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and several brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, October 31, 2025, in Mount Zion Cemetery, Mount Zion Road, Quincy, PA with Rev. Menno Sollenberger officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, PA is handling the arrangements.
