Mr. George Dale “Booger” Lancaster, Jr., 67, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born March 19, 1959 in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of George Dale Lancaster, Sr. of State Line, PA and the late Mary Louise (Staubs) Lancaster.
Dale was a graduate of Greencastle Antrim High School with the Class of 1977.
He dedicated more than 30 years to Frick Manufacturing in Waynesboro. He retired in March 2021.
Dale was a member of William Max McLaughlin VFW Post #659, the Owls Club, Inc. and was a former member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1191, all of Waynesboro.
He is survived by his wife of over 31 years, Mrs. Sherry A. (Startzman) Lancaster, who he married March 19, 1995; three children, Christina Stouffer and her husband, David, Carl Ulrich, Jr. and his fiancé, E’Lan Reed and Dusty Noll and his wife, Ashley, all of Waynesboro; six grandchildren, Colby Stouffer, Carl Ulrich, III, Gracelyn Reed, Carter Reed, Allison Noll and Charlotte Noll; two great-grandchildren, Noah Stouffer and Magnolia Stouffer; brother, Mearl Lancaster and his wife, Linda of State Line; sister, Debra Lancaster of State Line; and a number of nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Dale’s Life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to in his honor to Mercy House, (730 Norland Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201) for the excellent care they provided Dale in his final days.
