Mrs. Frances Marie Manspeaker Symons, 87, of Hagerstown, died on Easter morning, March 31, 2024, at Julia Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hagerstown. She was the wife of the late Alvin W. Symons, who preceded her in death on October 5, 2000.
Born July 10, 1936, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Rayetta Manspeaker.
Mrs. Symons had previously had worked with Brandt Cabinet Works, Hagerstown, and with Food Services at Western Heights Middle School for the Washington County Board of Education, Hagerstown.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hagerstown, where she had been a member of Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Frances had a love for cats, especially her cat “Lucky.”
Surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Friday, April 5, beginning at 10:00 AM and until services begin at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Her cousin, Mr. Ronald K. Shank, Deacon of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church, Martinsburg, will officiate. Interment will follow beside her husband in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
