Mr. Floyd E. “Butch” Eyler Jr., 71, of Waynesboro PA, passed away, Friday, July 5, 2024, at Mercy House in Chambersburg, PA with his family by his side.
Born September 2, 1952, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Floyd E. and Cleovesta C. (Oyer) Eyler.
Butch was a graduate of Waynesboro High School with the class of 1970.
He served his country honorably with the National Guard from 1971 to 1977.
He was employed as a welder and steel fabricator for Tri Fab Inc., in Waynesboro for over 27 years. He later worked for D.L. George & Sons for 7 years.
Butch was fond of martials arts and weight training. He enjoyed the simpler things in life such as nature, being outdoors, and traveling. He was known by family and friends for being a strong and independent man.
He is survived by his two daughters, Afton Unger and her husband Matthew of Shippensburg, PA, and Amber Eyler of Chambersburg, and his three grandchildren, Mason Mowen, Hudson Unger, and Brogan Unger.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
