Evelyn Rotz Sites, 100, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 in Menno Haven. Born April 4, 1924 in Peters Township, PA she was the daughter of the late William Curtis and Ruth (Keller) Rotz and wife of the late Albert Merson Sites who passed away Sept. 12, 2007.

She attended the Williamson School, South Hamilton, graduated from Chambersburg High School 1941, and Chambersburg Business College 1942. 

Mrs. Sites worked for Area Engineers and Letterkenny Ordnance Depot in her early years and retired from Ryder Supply Co. in 1974. She was a member of St. John's UCC, Chambersburg, PA and a former member of American EXPOW, AARP, and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She enjoyed watching the Game Show Network and more than anything she loved spending time with her family. 

She is survived by two daughters; Lavonna Wadel and husband Larry, and Debora Wellman, all of Chambersburg, one granddaughter, Mitzi Wadel of Waynesboro, five grandsons; Eric Wadel (Erin) of Chambersburg, Matthew Wellman (Laurie) of Norfolk, VA, Kevin Wellman (Chelsea) of Fairbanks, AK, Andrew Wellman (Stacey) of Chambersburg, and Stephen Wellman (Melissa Snyder) of Washington, PA, five great-grandsons, Colton and Camden Wadel, Teagan, Kian, and Asher Wellman; five great-granddaughters, Ila, Avalynn, Addison, Sloane, and Aliyah Wellman; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Garnet and Percy Rotz. 

Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 8, 2024 in St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1811 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Rev. Caroline E. Saxton officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday morning in the church. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ at the above address or to Menno Haven Employee Appreciation Fund; checks can be made payable to Menno Haven, memo line “Employee Appreciation Fund”, 300 Ridgeview Chambersburg, PA 17201.
