Mr. Eugene Denard “Butch” Callaway, Jr., 48, of Hagerstown, died early Wednesday morning, September 22, 2021, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown. He was the husband of Mrs. Ella May Socks Callaway, his wife of 25 years.
Born December 8, 1972, in Baltimore City, he was a son of the late Eugene Denard, Sr., and Donna Sue Weese Callaway.
Besides his wife, Butch is survived by his children, Brittany Callaway Shirey and husband Brandon, Christian Callaway, Briana Callaway and companion Nicholas Abi-Mershed and Makayla Callaway Sands and husband Cona, Dominic Callaway, and Nicholas Weese; grandchildren Brae’Leigh, Brendon, Bria and Braeden; siblings Richard Callaway, Tanya Kotschenreuther and husband Raymond and Jason Callaway and wife Patricia; as well as in-laws Jackie, Sr., and Nancy Tosten Socks; and numerous additional in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his brother,Wayne; and his sister-in-law Lorraine.
The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Monday, September 27, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
