She was employed for many years as a dietary supervisor for Maryland General Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Ethel enjoyed cooking, sewing, and more than anything spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis “Randy” Sturgill (Gale) and Nelson Sappington (Shannon); daughter-in-law, Sherry Sturgill; eight grandchildren, William, Steve, Sarah, Autumn, Matthew, Jennifer, Lisa, and Lorie; four great-grandchildren, William, Mary, Pearce, and Jayce; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two sons, Danny and Billy “Ray” Sturgill; three sisters; and three brothers.
