Mr. Ernest Justin Roberts, 68, of Hagerstown, fondly known by many as Ernie or Pap, died Thursday evening, January 9, 2025, at his residence. He was the husband of Mrs. Glenda Sue Potter Roberts, his wife of almost 41 years.
Born November 14, 1956, in Hagerstown, he was a son of the late Quentin Edward and Ruth Elizabeth Thompson Roberts. He graduated Boonsboro High School in 1974.
Ernie had worked for Transteck, Inc., Hagerstown, with the body shop until his recent retirement.
Pap enjoyed deer hunting when it came to that time of year; and cherished the time with his grandchildren often taking them hiking.
Surviving, besides his wife, is his son Justin Roberts and wife Jessica of Hagerstown; and his two grandchildren Jacoby and Jayla; as well as five brother; numerous aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, Pap was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is assisting his family with arrangements. Services will be at the family’s convenience.
