Mrs. Elizabeth E. “Liz” Stottlemyer Harrison, 87, of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Golden Living Center, Hagerstown. She was the wife of the late Hubert E. “Nick” Harrison, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 9, 1962.
Born February 20, 1928, in Frederick County, she was a daughter of the late Stacy and Hattie Butts Stottlemyer.
Mrs. Harrison is survived by sons, Hubert Harrison, Jr., and wife Susan of Bowie, and Douglas Harrison and Paul E. Rickard, both of Hagerstown; her grandchildren, Cheryl L. Harrison of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Sabrina Harrison-LeHew of Clear Spring; and great grandchildren, Olivia and Garrett Lee; as well as her siblings, Donald Stottlemyer and wife Betty of Sharpsburg, and Connie Breeden and husband George of Ranson, West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Cletus “Pete”, Gerald, Charles and Kenneth Stottlemyer, and Rachel Flook.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is handling the arrangements. There will not be visiting at the funeral home. A graveside service will on Thursday, July 16, at 2:00 PM, in the church yard of Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, 20402 Beaver Creek Road, Hagerstown.
