Mr. Edwin D. Barkdoll, 87, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Saturday morning, July 26, 2025, in the York Hospital.
Born July 5, 1938 in Mercersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel and Ethel (Creager) Barkdoll.
He and his wife, the late Mary L. (Haines) Barkdoll, were married in June 1961. They had lived at their current Marsh Road address for over 55 years. Mrs. Barkdoll died on January 3, 2025.
Mr. Barkdoll worked as a material handler at Mack Truck in Hagerstown, MD for over 30 years. He retired in 1993.
He was a life member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, Nascar and traveling with his family.
He is survived by two daughters, Trudy L. Smith (Elwood) and Nancy L. Snowberger (Ken), all of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, TJ Clopper, Elizabeth Bowser, Amanda Turner and Daniel Turner; seven great-grandchildren, Anakin, Macy, Ryan, Sebastian, Addison, Wyatt and Declan; one sister, Delores Mellott of Hagerstown, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, JoAnn Barnes.
Private graveside services will be held in Harbaugh Church Cemetery, Rouzerville, PA.
