Mr. Edward D. Fahrney, 57, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in the York Hospital.
Born August 15, 1968 in Waynesboro, he was the son of Nancy M. (King) Fahrney of Waynesboro and the late Paul O. “Dean” Fahrney. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
Ed graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1987 and later worked at Letterkenny Army Depot for over 10 years.
He was a member of 4-H and enjoyed theatre, woodworking, photography and watching his young nieces and nephews. He loved animals and was also an excellent baker and cook.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Kimberly Neibert of Waynesboro, Terry Fahrney of St. Thomas, PA and Kenneth Fahrney of Five Forks, PA; his nieces and nephews, Kelly Neibert, Jeff Fahrney, Brittany Fahrney, Colten Fahrney and Nick Fahrney; and his great nieces and nephews, Scarlett, Carson, Greyson, Chase and Bristol.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one infant nephew, Derek Fahrney and one infant niece, Charlie Ann Fahrney.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with Pastor Ray Kipe officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Tuesday morning, in the funeral home.
