Mrs. Edna Lucille Sharer, 92, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Holly Place. She was the wife of the late Spencer William Sharer, who died February 3, 1978.
Born August 15, 1920, in Etowah, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Jennie Tallent Grant.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Beth A. Sharer of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; and two grandsons, Geoffrey Sharer Beckner and Steven Daniel Beckner, both of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Sharer was preceded in death by her son, Edward S. Sharer; as well as three sisters and two brothers.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 27, 2014, at 1:30 PM at the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
