Mr. Duane Clark Robinson, 57, of Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.



Born September 4, 1953, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Arlene Kathryn Coberly Robinson of Hagerstown, and of the late Victor Clark Robinson.



Mr. Robinson was employed by Computer Sciences Corporation at the Coast Guard, Martinsburg, West Virginia.



He graduated North Hagerstown High School in 1971; and St. Andrews Presbyterian College, Laurinburg, North Carolina.



He was a member of New Street Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, where he participated with the Men’s Fellowship Group.


Additionally, he was a member and Past President of Morgan Grove Home Owners Association and Co-Founder of Morgan Grove Historic Preservation Association, LLC.



Duane also formerly served as President and Treasurer of the Robinson-Carbaugh Family Reunions.



Surviving, besides his mother, are siblings Vicki L. First and husband Charles J. of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Charlene Gail Carter of Shepherdstown, and Steven D. Robinson and wife Chu Yun of Anchorage, Alaska; as well as ten nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Peggy A. Robinson of Dargan.



Besides his father, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by a brother Guy F. Robinson.



The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 18, 2011, at Evangel Baptist Church, 17922 Broadfording Road, Hagerstown.


The Revs. David P. Possinger and Ronald K. Faith will officiate.


Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Clear Spring.


The family will receive friends at the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
