Mrs. Deloris J. (Smith) Crown, 88, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born July 14, 1936 in Parkersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Alice M. (Morris) Smith.
Mrs. Crown was a graduate of Parkersburg High School.
She was the wife of the late William T. Crown. Mr. Crown died in 1985.
Mrs. Crown worked as a computer operator at Albert Uster Imports. She retired after more than 25 years with the company. Following her retirement, she cared for many of her grandchildren.
She was an avid reader, who enjoyed working on word search puzzles and music.
She is survived by two children, Rick Crown (Tara) of Frederick, MD and Vicki L. Esche (Kurt) of Waynesboro; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Juanita Gates; and her twin brother, Darrell Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 15, 2025, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Saturday morning, March 15, in the funeral home.
