Mr. Delbert G. Oberholzer, 77, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 8, 2026 in his home.
Born February 27, 1948 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Reginald H. and Esther Mae (Gossert) Oberholzer.
Delbert was a graduate of Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1966 and served his country honorably in the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania.
He and his wife of almost 55 years, Mrs. Linda M. “Susie” (Lear) Oberholzer, were married February 14, 1971 in Paramount, MD.
A devoted employee, Delbert dedicated 43 years of service to Grove Manufacturing and Manitowac Cranes. This remarkable career allowed him to travel extensively throughout the United States and around the world. He retired in 2011.
He was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post # 15 and the Eagles Club, Inc. Delbert also was an accomplished guitarist, playing for several local bands including The Princemen, The Everyday Needs and Bree Hill.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind two children, Ryan Oberholzer and his wife, Rosie of Blue Ridge Summit and Jodi Gantz of Waynesboro; two grandchildren, Xander Gantz and Ashley Beaver and her husband, Kenneth; three great-grandchildren, Luella, Logan and Serena Beaver; brother, Nelson Oberholzer of Chambersburg; two sisters, Joan Crider of Chambersburg and Ida Mae Tillou of Fayetteville; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Delbert was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy M. Thompson.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
