Mrs. Debra L. (Triesh) Statler, 68, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD.
Born June 11, 1955 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Lorraine E. (Kayhoe) Triesh. She was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
Debra graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1973. She later received her Associates Degree from Hagerstown Community College in 1996.
She and her husband of over 50 years, Harold H. Statler, were married on November 24, 1973.
Debra worked at the Waynesboro Hospital for nearly 50 years. She retired in 2022 as the manager of the purchasing department.
She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time at the beach.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kathy J. Carbaugh (Jeff) and Shelly R. King (Adam), both of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Erika Carbaugh, Brady Carbaugh, Cole King, Haven King, and Adelyn King; two great-grandchildren, Anakin King and Hunerlyn King; one sister, Barbara Printz of Keedysville, MD; one brother, Charles Triesh, Sr. of Hagerstown, MD; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John E. Triesh and Kenneth M. Triesh.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Pastor Herbert S. Busick, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Tuesday evening, in the funeral home.
