Miss Deborah M. Kauffman, 71, a resident of Paramount Senior Living, Fayetteville, PA and formerly of Waynesboro, PA passed away Wednesday evening, October 8, 2024, in the nursing home.
Born February 9, 1953 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd J. and Mary E. (Kauffman) Kauffman. She was a life long resident of the Waynesboro area.
She graduated from Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1972.
Deborah was a Special Education Assistant at Mowrey Elementary School and volunteered at the Waynesboro Day Care Center.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mont Alto, PA and enjoyed collecting bells and music boxes and reading.
She is survived by a step-sister, Judy Leidig of Jension, MI; and several extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Rev. Gerald D. Carbaugh and her step-brother, Gerald Carbaugh, Jr.
Private graveside services will be held in Strang’s Cemetery, South Mountain, PA.
Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, PA is handling the arrangements.
