Mr. Dean W. Shaffer, 71, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in the emergency room of WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
Born May 29, 1953 in Mont Alto, PA, he was the son of the late Woodrow W. “Woody” and Ida Pearl (Baker) Shaffer.
Mr. Shaffer was employed by Occupational Services, Inc. of Chambersburg.
He is survived by four siblings, William W. Shaffer of Waynesboro, Dolores J. Turner of Chambersburg, Clinton E. Shaffer of Waynesboro and Marcia M. Hill of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Ann Shaffer and Geneva P. Gossert; and two brothers, Glenn R. Shaffer and Edward L. Shaffer.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 2, 2024 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro with the Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Quincy, PA.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Monday afternoon, in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
