Mr. David W. “Dave” Briggs, Jr., 68, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Mercy House, Chambersburg, PA, surrounded by his loving family.
Born November 6, 1956, in Zelienople, PA he was the son of the late David W. Briggs Sr., and Otilie E. (Gruenwald) Briggs.
Dave graduated from Seneca Valley Senior High School in Harmony, PA with the class of 1974.
He and his wife, Gabrielle A. (Tuite) Briggs were married September 24, 1988, in Pittsburgh, PA. They shortly thereafter made Waynesboro their home.
Dave was vice president of operations at Jamison Door Company in Hagerstown, MD for many years. He formally retired in 2023.
An avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Dave was a man of strong faith who cherished his family deeply. He often enjoyed flying and had his private pilot license. Shortly after retirement, he got a Willys truck and he could be found working on it more often than not. His love for life and devotion to those close to him will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Dave is survived by the “Sorority House” – his wife and three daughters, Danielle, Shelby, and Valerie Briggs.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
