Darryl (Griz) G. Lewis, 67, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Chambersburg Hospital with his loving spouse, Deborah, and his two daughters by his side. Griz was born September 27, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Leon and Doris (Robinson) Lewis.
In addition to his wife, Deborah (Morrison) Lewis married for 19 years, he is survived by two daughters; Megan Stanley-Lewis, and Callie (Brandon) Johnson, five grandchildren; River, Raven, Aurora, Maddox, and Emma, and two siblings; Donna (BJ) Wing, and Dan (Susan ) Lewis.
Griz was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School Louisville KY in 1975.He went on and became an associate at Schreiber Foods and eventually was promoted to Safety Officer.
He loved playing golf with his buddies, rooting for the University of Louisville Cardinals and watching his favorite team the Green Bay Packers. Griz also loved listening to classic rock and country music. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Griz is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis Lewis.
A Celebration of life will be held in the future by the family.
