Mr. Daniel P. Judge, 79, of Greencastle, PA, formerly of Westminster, MD, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his home.

Born January 17, 1945, in Baltimore, MD; son of the late Edward E. Judge, Sr. and Helena Tinker Judge.

He graduated from St. John’s Catholic High School, Westminster, in 1963 and Mount St. Mary’s College, Emmitsburg MD, in 1967.

He married Therese Kenney Judge on May 10, 1969, at the Sacred Heart Chapel in Glyndon, MD.

He was a former member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Westminster and current member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Greencastle and the Knights of Columbus.

Daniel was a man of faith who loved his family and his country.

In addition to his wife, Therese, he is survived by six children: Robert Judge (Kathleen) of Hagerstown, MD, Lucy Schemel (Paul) of Greencastle, PA, Joseph Judge (Tara) of Leesburg, VA, Michael Judge (Anne) of Manassas, VA, Paul Timothy Judge of Westminster, MD and Laura Garheart (Adam) also of Westminster, MD; 22 grandchildren: Br. Nicholas (SOLT), Ellen, Daniel, Julia, Roch, David and Sarah Judge; Caroline Criste (Daniel); William, Peter, John Paul, Thomas and Monica Schemel; Patrick and Clare Judge; Dominic, Jane, William and Henry Judge; Ethan, Alaina and Colette Garheart; one great-grandson on the way; a sister: Mary Wineke of Bowie, MD; two brothers: Peter Judge (Mary) of Cazenovia, NY and James Judge (Mary Jo) of Westminster; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward Eugene “Ned” Judge, Jr.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 385 S. Ridge Avenue, Greencastle, PA celebrated by Rev. Augusty Valomchalil and Rev. Mark Kenney, SM. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Westminster, MD. A luncheon for friends and family following the burial will be held at the Portico at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 43 Monroe Street, Westminster, MD.

The family will receive friends at from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 13th, in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington Street, Greencastle, PA, where the rosary will be recited at 4:00 P.M.
