Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Miller, 67, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in Meritus Medical Center.
Born November 16, 1957 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur D. “Art” and Rosalie B. (Bailey) Miller.
Cindy was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1975 and later received her nursing degree from Hagerstown Junior College.
For many years, Cindy dedicated her life to the care of others working as a Registered Nurse at Washington County Hospital, Chambersburg Hospital and Julia Manor. In retirement, she worked part-time at Sam’s Club in Hagerstown.
She is survived by her husband, Harold “Dean” Smith; three children, David A. Fawks, II and his wife, Amy, Rebecca F. Gaddy and her husband, Jeremy and Jason M. Fawks; six grandchildren, Alexis Knopp, Nathan Knopp, Ellianna Fawks, Jacquelin Gaddy, Victoria Gaddy and Vanessa Gaddy; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Gregory A. Miller who passed away April 13, 2021.
A service to honor Cindy’s Life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 20, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
