Curtis Howard Dunahugh, 72, of Ringgold, MD passed away June 30, 2026. He passed at home surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born February 20, 1954 at Washington County Hospital. He was the son of the late Robert Lee Dunahugh and late Verna Ruth (DeCost) Dunahugh. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith Ann (Bumbaugh) Dunahugh. They were married November 21, 1975 at the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren.

Also surviving are three children of whom he was very proud. They are Erica Lee Dunahugh of Ringgold, Shaun Curtis Dunahugh and wife Jamie of Greencastle, PA, and Corey Adam Dunahugh of Hagerstown. He has two grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart, Clay Curtis Dunahugh of Sharpsburg and Wyatt Beckett Dunahugh of Sharpsburg/Greencastle and their mother Brandy Wood. Surviving siblings are Sandy Hyde of California, Carlos Dunahugh and wife Cindy of Boonsboro, Terry Brown of Hagerstown, Penny Dickensheets and husband Mike of Frederick and Brian Shoemaker of Halfway.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved his fun-loving nature and his lifelong friend Dennis James Yeagy.

Curtis was preceded in death by one sister, Annette (Brown) Costlow and many lifelong friends from the East End where he grew up.

He worked for 37 years at the former Frick Company in Waynesboro, PA starting in February 1978 and retiring in September 2015. He was a man of simple tastes. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding the deer, the Baltimore Ravens, Ocean City, family trips to the Outer Banks, and collecting Natty Boh (if you know you know). He helped any person without hesitation. If he didn’t know the solution, he would find one. He gave everyone the benefit of the doubt, he was quick to forgive and everyone got a second chance.

His presence will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

He was a private person and per his wishes, there will be no public viewing or service.

Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, PA.
