Clair L. Frey, 74, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at his home. He was born on October 30, 1951, in Chambersburg, PA to the late J. Earl and Marian Grace (Mentzer) Frey.
Clair was a 1969 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America and then went on to work for his family’s dairy farm. He was a member at Chambersburg Mennonite Church. Clair served as a volunteer with Menno Haven and went on a few trips with the Mennonite Disaster Service. He was involved in the New Visions Clubhouse where he enjoyed spending time with the other residents. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing basketball and church softball and in his later years, he enjoyed word searches and was an avid walker. He could often be seen walking around downtown Chambersburg.
He is survived by his sisters Joyce Lehman (Gerald) of Chambersburg, PA; Evelyn Bomberger (Roy) of Lititz, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister May Ellen Frey.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Chambersburg Mennonite Cemetery with Pastor J. Allen Lehman officiating.
