Christopher C. Grubbs, 46, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Wellspan York Hospital. Born June 6, 1978, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Donald Steven Grubbs and Pamela Weikert Grubbs.
Chris was employed for 20 years as a Project Manager at Volvo in Hagerstown, MD. He was a member of Grand Point Church in Chambersburg. He was active in Alcoholics Anonymous where he overcame his alcoholism. Chris loved sports, especially the Washington Capitals, Washington Commanders, and the Baltimore Orioles. He also loved music, attending concerts, food, and eating ice cream.
In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his wife of 18 years, Katharine Seiler Grubbs, whom he married on June 3, 2006; two sons, Wyatt William Grubbs and Logan Christopher Grubbs; eight siblings, Matthew Grubbs (Serry), Josiah Grubbs (Kim), Philip Grubbs (Amanda), Micah Grubbs, Rebekah Myers (Kevin), Jonathan Grubbs, Sarah Warfield (Ken), and Hannah Grubbs; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Pastor Doug Coldsmith will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 11:00 AM on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
