Mr. Charles N. “Buzz” Ott, 84, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in his home.

Born November 3, 1940, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Charles N. and Emma F. (Miner) Ott.

He attended Waynesboro Schools.

Mr. Ott served his country honorably in the United States Army National Guard.

He and his wife, Mrs. Doris M. (Shultz) Ott were married June 13, 1965, in the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, Hagerstown, MD.

Mr. Ott worked as a laborer for Keystone Homes for numerous years.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #15, Waynesboro. In his younger years, he enjoyed spending time outdoors hiking and also loved bowling with friends. A loyal fan of the Baltimore Ravens, he rarely missed a game and cheered passionately for the team. Faith was an important part of Buzz’s life, and he found comfort in watching religious programs.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two daughters, Laura Ott of Waynesboro, and Kathy Shank of TN; two grandsons, Nicholas Shank and his wife Sara, and Matthew Shank and his girlfriend Heather Beaver, both of Waynesboro; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Robert Shank and Charlie Alexander Shank; and one sister, Nedra Mohn.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Connie Shearer and Patricia Miller.

Burial in Harbaugh Church Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro is handling the arrangements.
