Mr. Charles E. Eshleman, 73, of Waynesboro, PA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday August 23, 2026, in his home.
Born May 3, 1953, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Raymond D. and Thelma E. (Hull) Eshleman.
Charles graduated from Smithsburg High School with the Class of 1971.
He and his wife, Marilyn (Gladhill) Eshleman were married November 27, 1971, in St. Stephen’s Church, Highfield, MD.
Charles was employed as a machinist at Landis Machine Company for a number of years. He formally retired in 2016.
From the age of four, he was a devoted member of the Waynesboro Bible Church where he served on the building fund committee, was trustee and treasurer. A gifted carpenter with a remarkable talent for woodworking, he took great pride in creating with his hands. He found peace and happiness in the outdoors, whether hunting or fishing, he simply enjoyed nature. Known for his quick wit, charming smile, and warm sense of humor, he had a way of making others feel welcome. Above all, he was a man of deep and unwavering faith who deeply cared for his family.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his two daughters Barbara A. Hanson and her husband Peter “Pete”, and Rebecca Koons and her husband Brett, both of Palmyra, PA; two grandchildren, Konnor and Molly A. Koons; and his siblings, William L. Eshleman, and Carolyn Heiks and her husband Scott; one sister-in-law, Judy Eshleman; and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond D. “Dan” Eshleman, Jr.
A celebration of life will be held 12:00 P.M., Saturday, August 29, 2026, in Waynesboro Bible Church, 8216 Stottlemyer Road, Waynesboro, with Pastors Zack Savitski and Darell Gentry officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Missions of Waynesboro Bible Church, 8216 Stottlemyer Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
