Calvin Vincent Long, 71, of Chambersburg,passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born May 12, 1952, in Chambersburg, PA, the son of the late Margarette Elizabeth (George) and Vincent Calvin Long. He was raised by his Aunt Ruth George from a very young age. On December 22, 2012, he married Janice K. Long. Calvin served in the United States Navy on the USS Spiegel Grove for a total of 3 years, 11 months, and 27 days. He then went onto serving in the United States Army for a total of two years acquiring to E4. He then went on to work at Letterkenny Army Depot for 33 years as a welder. After retiring from Letterkenny Army Depot, Calvin drove school buses for a total of 10 years between Bricker Transportation, Tom Gift, Ryan Myers, and Keifman Busing. He enjoyed playing video games with his grandson, Brandon. He loved all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA, with Rev. John Kratz officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
