Mr. Bryan H. Rabbett, 77, of Marion, PA, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, PA.

Born July 27, 1947, in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late William and Enid (Rook) Rabbett.

He attended Connecticut schools.

Mr. Rabbett served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1965 until 1969.

He was employed as a correctional officer and also worked for the Sherrif’s Department, both in Connecticut.

He was a member of the Chambersburg Rod & Gun Club, Mercersburg Sportsman Club, Marine Corps League, Chambersburg, and the Greencastle VFW, Greencastle, PA. Mr. Rabbett was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in nature. A passionate hunter and fisherman, he especially enjoyed big game hunting and looked forward to planning his next hunting trips. Some of his favorite moments were spent on the water, particularly Raystown Lake, cruising on his pontoon boat. At home, he took pride in tending to his garden and raising and training his hunting dogs, which he had done throughout his whole life. His favorite past time was following the UConn Girls Basketball Team.

He is survived by his significant other of over 20 years, Miss Jerry L. Shatzer of Marion; his son, Danny Rabbett and his wife Kami of Middleburg, FL; bonus children, Angela Atherton and Andy Shatzer; four grandchildren, Casey Rabbett, Megan Rabbett, D.J. Rabbett, and Ella Rabbett; three bonus grandchildren, Austen Shatzer, Emma Hissong, and Hunter Atherton; 1 great-grandchild, Andrew Vega; one brother, Kevin Rabbett of West Suffield; two sisters, Shelia Rabbett of Medford, OR, and Elizabeth Rabbett of Danbury; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Rabbett and William “Billy” Rabbett, Jr.

A Funeral Mass will be held at  11:00 A.M., Friday, August 22, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 42, Spring St. Windsor Locks, CT.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
