Mr. Brian L. Starliper, 56, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Tuesday morning, October 14, 2025, in the Hershey Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Born October 28, 1968 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Robert E. Starliper, Sr. and Lois I. “Sally” (Engle) Starliper. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
He had worked for Furniture Market in Waynesboro and was currently employed by Green Arbor Landscape, LLC.
Brian was a life member of the Waynesboro Volunteer Fire Department, which he joined in 1987 and served as Captain, Sergeant and Lieutenant. He was also a member of the Mont Alto Volunteer Department – where he served as Lieutenant, Blue Ridge Fire and Rescue and the South Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed hunting, Nascar races, watching football, watching ice hockey – especially the Pittsburgh Penguins and especially spending time with his daughter and grandchildren.
Brian is survived by his life partner of over 37 years, Theresa L. Dunn of Waynesboro; one daughter, Shelby L. Hensley (William) of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Evie Hensley and Lane Hensley; his siblings: Bonnie S. Poper, Waynesboro, Barbara K. Shockey, Waynesboro, Edward L. Starliper, Waynesboro, Pamela J. Moser, Gettysburg, Rodney L. Starliper, Waynesboro, Darin K. Starliper, Waynesboro; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gregory A. Starliper and Robert E. Starliper, Jr.
A public viewing will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, October 20, 2025 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
Burial and religious services will be private in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
