Brian A. Stoops, 43, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
Born September 27, 1982 in Waynesboro, he was the son of Mrs. Karen R. (Benshoff) Hoover, step-son of Ryan E. Hoover, both of Waynesboro and son of the late William A. “Bill” Stoops who passed away June 20, 1999.
Brian attended Waynesboro Area Schools and enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his free time. He also shared a special connection with his Labrador, Bullett, who he loved dearly.
In addition to his mother and step-father, Brian leaves behind: sister, Shannon L. Wise and her husband Mike, of Waynesboro; nephews and nieces, Austin M. Wise, Katie L. Wise and Blake C. Wise, all of Waynesboro and Faith Stoops of Chambersburg; maternal grandfather, Clayton R. Benshoff of Mont Alto, PA; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert C. Stoops who passed away August 25, 2022; maternal grandmother, Rhoda Benshoff; and paternal grandparents, Robert & Betty Stoops.
Services for Brian will be private at the convenience of the family.
