Ms. Braylena Marie Socks, 21, of Clear Spring, died suddenly Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her residence.
Born May 14, 1999, in Washington County, she was a daughter of Bobbie Jo Stover of Clear Spring and Samuel S. Socks, Sr. of Hagerstown. She graduated from Clear Spring High School in 2016.
Braylena, known fondly by many as Buggy, was a “smile maker.” She very much enjoyed spoiling and being with younger children; and was always available to offered a ride to her family and friends. Additionally, she enjoyed cooking, listening to rap music, specifically Juice World, and writing letters to loved ones.
Besides her mother, Braylena is survived by siblings, Bradley E. and Brandi M. Socks, both of Clear Spring, and half-siblings, Samuel S. Socks, Jr., Krystal L. Benedict, and Tyler Socks; among the grandparents, Delores Henson of Clear Spring, and Wilma Stover of Hancock; as well as several nieces and nephews, specifically, Abby and Que; aunts, uncles, cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Ronald E. Stover, Sr.
Friends may visit at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Friday, October 16, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. A private funeral service will be held with friends invited to join for the committal, held graveside at Rose Hill Cemetery on Saturday, October 17, 10:45 AM. Those attending should gather inside the main gates of the cemetery. There will be a procession to the gravesite. The Rev. Dr. William A. Miller will officiate.
