Mrs. Betty A. (Meima) Amos, 91, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Seaton Senior Living, Hagerstown, MD.
Born August 15, 1934, in Charlottesburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Minnie (Hersehap) Meima.
Mrs. Amos was a graduate of Pompton Lakes High School, NJ with the Class of 1951.
She and her husband, Mr. William J. “Bill” Amos was married in 1956 at the Pompton Reformed Church in Pompton Lakes, NJ.
She was employed by council for exceptional children in Reston, VA, and also worked for the Music Educators as an administration assistant, also in Reston. She formally retired in 1992.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Waynesboro, where she sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the AARP Northern Chapter in Waynesboro.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rebecca A. Amos of Sterling, VA, and Elizabeth A. Petrie of Maryville, TN; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
